(8) Jurong Woods

Jurong Woods is a quiet but interesting place with lots us bushes, a few streams, a canal thereby. It is certainly a good location to focus on macro shooting without much distraction. Possible subjects include many species of spiders, dragonflies, damselflies, butterflies, caterpillars, hoppers, pythons, etc.

Meeting Point:
Lakeside MRT station. There is a bus-stop just outside the Lakeside MRT station. Next to it is a passenger pick-up point and we shall meet here. Thereafter, we will ferry those who are not driving to the macro site which is about 5 mins away.

Getting There (for those who wish to go there directly):

(A) By Car - At the end of Corporation road, turn right to Jurong West Ave 2. You will soon see a Nursery Home on the left. A few metre away, turn left into Jurong Road (Don't turn right which will lead you to PIE). The entrance of Jurong Woods macro site (See image below) is about 20 metres away. Park along the roadside.

(B) By Bus - Take Bus No. 174 from Boon Lay MRT Terminal.
